Thank you for playing with us at Summer Day Camp, we had a blast!

Led by the Bear Valley Parents Group, the BV Summer Day Camp is a synergy of donations. From the volunteering board members to the extra hours by the director and counselors to the carpooling from parents, camp is made possible by the efforts of US!

We were so excited it was a successful year for Kodiaks and their backpacking adventures! All made possible by a generous donation to acquire gear.

We were so happy to offer extended camp days to Cubs so they could get even dirtier! All made possible by an Alpine County supportive grant.

Our camp is outdoors based, using all the natural assets of our Alpine community. We need a camp trailer that can move to all the rugged places as fast as we do!

A plan is in the works to acquire and design a storage trailer to carry all our toys.

Please help us reach a fund drive goal of $4000 to make it happen. Here’s the link

At Bear Valley Summer Day Camp, our mission is to give your child days filled with fun, adventure and learning amidst the breathtaking beauty of our natural playground. We are fortunate to be situated in the Sierra Nevada mountains, near forests, lakes, rivers, alpine meadows and peaks  that serve as the backdrop of our eight-week day camp.
We hold deeply the values of kindness, safety and respect and work to create a camp culture that embraces and emanates such thinking.  We believe outdoor education, the activites that go along with it, and the skill-building that occurs in this framework teach healthy choices, a capable and positive sense of self, and, of course, provide FUN that will leave your children happy and exhausted at day’s end.

This year we have three age groups for campers.  Cub is for 4-6 year old campers, Grizzly is for 7-11 year old campers, and Kodiak is for 12+ campers.  We have added many special events this year with most specifically geared to meet the needs of older campers.  Scheduled are camping, rafting and backpacking trips.  Space is limited and there is an additional fee for these events.  Check out our links on the schedules page to find out what is planned for each age group!

Join us for 8 weeks, 8 hours, or anything in between and give your child the opportunity to relish moments sure to become the fondest of memories!
